Focus Of Attention, Retention, And Recall Can Be Quickly Enhanced Using Hypnotherapy CD's

Thanks to TV, radio, and especially the Internet, everyone is tormented by a barrage of way too much information. And thanks to the stress caused by the frenzied lives we lead, our ability to focus our attention, take in information, and recollect it later when needed has been smashed.

I'd like you to reflect on this for a minute. As you sit there and read this document, information is entering your brain through your sense of sight. But you are also absorbing sounds, sensing physical feelings like the force of the seat touching your butt and back, the touch of the clothing on your body, and the air temperature and movement on your skin. You are also in receipt of information by way of your nose in the form of aromas. And of course, you're in receipt of information in the form of the various tastes on your lips and in your mouth.

And think about the emotional feelings that you are presently experiencing? That's also information that you're currently processing. We reside in an information intensive world. Thanks to the Internet, almost anything and everything that you may ever want to know is only a few clicks of the mouse away.

I recently read a piece that said that even in a tranquil and peaceful environment, we are bombarded by sixty thousand stimuli per second. And that is happening sixty seconds out of each minute, and sixty minutes out of each hour. And it goes on twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, week in and week out for our entire life.

And that is a big part of the dilemma. We are all being subjected to "information overload." And that makes it very tricky to remember all of the information that we want to remember or need to be able to recall.

All too often, as we are reading, we discover that our eyes have been traversing the words on the page, while our conscious mind has been off somewhere else on a tangent. When we get to the bottom of the page, we become conscious of the fact that our eyes have seen the words, but we have no conscious remembrance of what we have just read. That's because our mind has been somewhere else thinking about a problem, or working out an assignment.

Today it's widespread to hear even young people say things like, "I'm having a senior moment." No matter what your age, and whether you are a student, part of the work force, or a retired senior, you know what I'm talking about. In our chaotic world it is often extremely difficult to focus your concentration.

SO WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING SCENARIOS IS YOUR PROBLEM?

A. Your mind starts to roam as you study or read, and then suddenly you grasp that you do not have the slightest idea what you've been reading.

B. When you are in a social situation and you are introduced to new contacts, you find that you forget their names almost as quickly as you hear them.

C. You recall that you have a chore to do in another room; however, as soon as you start walking in the direction of the other room you totally forget what that errand is.

D. You can stay alert and take in new information. But when you take an examination, "Test Anxiety" overcomes you and causes a mental block, and you are not able to remember the answers to the questions on the examination that you actually know.

The chief cause of a student's lack of ability to focus their concentration is that people are suffering from too much tension. And the chief cause of a mental block to recall is also tension. So it stands to reason that the more relaxed a person is, the better they will be able to focus their concentration, absorb information, and then be able to recall it at a later date.

Today, memory enhancement through hypnosis has become a popular topic. That's partially because hypnosis is a brilliant tool for triggering a relaxed state. As a matter of fact, the very essence of hypnosis is relaxation. And as the mind becomes serene, the ability to stay focused increases. Similarly, a calm mind enhances the ability to retain information, and recollect it when it is needed.

Self-hypnosis memory enhancement is a fantastic modality for eliminating test anxiety. There are several hypnotic techniques that can be used to program a person with the positive expectancy of tranquility, self-assurance, and achievement while taking exams.

Students can take a course on how to apply hypnosis easily and economically in the privacy of their own home by buying hypnotic CD's. You can locate additional information on hypnotherapy to enhance memory and recall in the Hypnosis Article Index located on my website.
